Challenge
Avanta wanted to create a live trivia game in which players could compete simultaneously for cash prizes in real time under equal conditions.
Solution
We developed a mobile app with WebSocket synchronisation, a Redis-based architecture, a server-controlled timer and a Stripe integration for paying out prizes.
How does it work?

Join the game
Open the app, choose a live game and join with a single tap. The game starts at a set time every day.

Answer the questions
12 questions of increasing difficulty. 10 seconds for each answer. Get one wrong and you're out — unless you have an extra life.

Win EUR prizes
The last players standing split the prize pool. Winnings are paid directly into your bank account.

About the project
Avanta is an innovative mobile game inspired by HQ Trivia and adapted for the Bulgarian market. Players take part in daily live games, answer questions and compete for cash prizes in euro.
The technical challenge was synchronising all players in real time. We used WebSocket — questions are displayed simultaneously on all devices, while the timer is controlled by the server.
The mobile app (React Native + Expo) was developed for iOS and Android with fluid animations and gesture-based navigation. Gamification includes leaderboards, streaks, virtual rewards and social features for challenging friends.
Monetisation comes through real-money entry for games with prizes and in-app purchases for extra lives. The Stripe integration enables instant withdrawal of winnings directly to a bank account.
The admin panel allows game masters to create questions, schedule games and monitor real-time statistics. AI-based content generation helps create new questions from different categories.
