Courier Integration — Speedy, Econt, DPD, DHL and Sameday
Courier integration by Saitami ends the daily routine of logging into Speedy My and the Econt portal. We wire the REST APIs of Speedy, Econt, DPD, DHL and Sameday into your ERP and online store — the waybill is generated from the order, the label prints, the AWB returns to the system and the customer gets tracking without anyone opening a courier website.
What our courier integration includes
Multi-carrier link with Speedy, Econt, DPD, DHL, Sameday
One backend speaks to the Speedy REST API, Econt webservice, DPD Shipper, DHL Express MyDHL API and Sameday API through a unified shipment model with valid office and city code tables per carrier.
Automatic waybill generation
On confirmed order the system sends a shipment request, receives the AWB and writes it back to ERP, the e-shop order and the customer profile. Zero manual entry of address, weight or COD in the Speedy or Econt portal.
Label print and barcode
A 100x150 mm PDF label with barcode and QR renders from the API response and prints on a Zebra, Brother or laser. Batches of 30 to 100 orders print in one click ready for pickup protocol.
Real-time tracking
Webhooks from Speedy and Econt plus polling for DPD, DHL and Sameday keep every shipment status current — accepted, in transit, delivered, returned. The customer is notified via email, SMS or Viber.
Returns workflow and claims
Returns post as a return document in ERP, stock back to warehouse, credit note for the customer. Claims for lost or damaged goods follow a standard form tracked to settlement.
Dispatch automation by fixed rules
Rules for multi-carrier rate shopping — Speedy under 2 kg to office, Econt for COD over €200, DPD for B2B contracts, DHL for cross-border. The system picks the carrier automatically.
Who it is for
Online stores over 50 orders per day
Above 50 orders per day manual waybill work eats 6 to 8 operator hours. Shipping automation cuts that to under 30 seconds per parcel and removes a full FTE from payroll.
B2B distributors and wholesalers
Distributors shipping pallets to shops, pharmacies or offices. Works with Speedy and Econt contract pricing, multi-parcel waybills, pre-advice and cargo profile — fragile, ADR.
Fulfillment and 3PL operators
3PL centers serving many clients. Multi-tenant setup with separate carrier contract per client, branded tracking link and SLA reports per carrier and client.
How we build your shipping integration
1. Carrier and volume audit
We review contracts with Speedy, Econt, DPD, DHL and Sameday, typical volume and return rate. We map each carrier status to the internal ERP status and finalise dispatch automation rules against real tariff prices.
2. Node.js backend with a unified shipment model
Node.js with TypeScript and one shipment model over the Speedy, Econt, DPD Shipper, DHL Express and Sameday APIs. Queue-based, idempotency keys and a persistent API log — zero lost AWBs on transient outages.
3. Webhook to ERP and e-shop
We wire the integration into your ERP system and online store. Webhooks push carrier statuses to orders in real time. See also our API integrations and the related ERP and accounting integration for invoicing after the shipped event.
4. Address validation and observability
Address validation against Speedy and Econt nomenclatures — city, district, street, office. Bad addresses bounce back before reaching the carrier. Observability — latency, error rate, retry, dead-letter — per carrier. See also our support ticketing system for shipping incidents.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which couriers are supported?
The standard package covers Speedy and Econt — the two leading Bulgarian carriers — plus DPD, DHL Express and Sameday for domestic and cross-border parcels. On request we add GLS, UPS, FedEx or a regional carrier with a public REST API. The same integration layer serves all of them, so changing a carrier does not require ERP or shop rework.
How many carriers can I use at once?
No limit. Multi-carrier dispatch lets you keep several active contracts and the system picks the optimal carrier by weight, destination, COD amount, customer type or priority. Example — Speedy for parcels under 2 kg to office, Econt for COD over €200, DHL for international outside the EU, DPD for B2B contract clients.
How are returns processed?
A return is registered by the original AWB or manually through the customer portal. The ERP finds the parent order, creates a return document, puts stock back after inspection and issues a credit note. For lost or damaged parcels a claim is opened against the carrier with photos and description, tracked to settlement.
How much does courier integration cost?
A base courier integration with the two leading Bulgarian carriers — Speedy and Econt — with automatic waybill generation, label print and a tracking webhook to ERP starts at €1,600 one-off. Adding DPD, DHL and Sameday, multi-carrier dispatch rules, claims workflow and branded tracking is between €3,200 and €6,500. Maintenance runs €180 to €380 per month.
