Integration logic runs through the Shopify GraphQL Admin API — bulk for nightly syncs, mutations for real time. Custom app in our Partner account, least-privilege scopes, tokens in a secrets vault.
2. Webhooks and event-driven architecture
Webhooks for orders, fulfillments, refunds, products, customers. Hmac verified, deduped by webhook ID and pushed into BullMQ or RabbitMQ — surviving Black Friday peaks without lost orders.
3. Shopify Functions and ERP sync layer
On Shopify Plus we add Shopify Functions in Rust or JavaScript for checkout, payment and delivery customization. ERP sync layer talks to your custom ERP via API integrations.

Yes. On Shopify Plus we implement cash on delivery as a custom payment method via payment customization Shopify Function — the buyer picks COD at checkout, the order lands as financial_status pending, and collection happens at delivery through Speedy or Econt with automatic AWB. On Shopify Basic we use a manual payment method plus a private app that updates financial_status to paid after courier confirmation.
