Delivery Management Software

Saitami's delivery management software combines a routing engine, dispatch board, driver mobile app and real-time GPS tracking in one product for companies running their own fleet. The system plans the optimal last-mile route and tracks every parcel through to customer signature.

What our delivery management software includes

Automatic route optimization

A routing engine on OR-Tools and OSRM computes the shortest route per driver — time windows, vehicle capacity, weight, restricted city zones and parcel priority. Plans are recomputed on the fly when a new order arrives.

Dispatch board

A fleet dispatch view with every driver on the map, drag-and-drop reassignment of parcels and colour-coded delay indicators. One dispatcher controls 20-30 stops instead of 6-8 by phone — no parcels lost in a spreadsheet.

Driver mobile app

A React Native app with turn-by-turn navigation through Google Maps or Waze, daily parcel checklist, barcode scan, photo capture and electronic customer signature. Works offline in rural areas and syncs when coverage returns.

Real-time GPS tracking and ETA

Vehicle location every 10 seconds, automatic ETA based on live traffic. The customer receives an SMS or Viber message with the expected arrival time and a live tracking link.

Proof of Delivery (POD)

Photo of the dropped parcel, handwritten signature on the driver's phone, GPS coordinates and timestamp. Photos and signatures are retained for 24 months and are accessible from the admin panel in case of dispute.

Shipper integrations

When the in-house fleet is full or the parcel is out of city, the system automatically generates a Speedy or Econt waybill through their APIs — hybrid own-fleet plus outsourced in one interface.

Who it is for

Restaurants and food delivery

Restaurant chains and dark kitchens running their own scooter or bike couriers. The system pulls orders from the website and aggregator APIs, assigns each to the nearest free rider and protects food temperature with sub-30-minute ETAs.

Furniture retailers with own transport

Furniture, appliances and building-material stores that deliver with their own vans. The software plans two-hour windows the customer picks at checkout and flags parcels needing lift carry or on-site assembly.

B2B distributors

Food, beverage and pharmacy distributors with fixed daily routes across shops and pharmacies. Weekly route templates, automatic reorder triggers when stock at the customer drops below threshold, and digital waybills.

How we build delivery management software

1. Geospatial core

PostgreSQL with PostGIS for all spatial queries — delivery points, city polygons, parking zones. Routing runs through OR-Tools for VRP optimization and OSRM for road-network path calculation on the real Bulgarian road graph.

2. Driver mobile layer

A single React Native codebase for Android and iOS — one team, two platforms. Careful attention to battery drain under all-day GPS, 4G fallback and hand-off to external navigation. See our mobile app development.

3. Shipper and e-commerce integrations

REST API and webhooks for inbound orders from WooCommerce, Shopify, OpenCart, marketplace APIs and your ERP. Outbound to Speedy and Econt for waybills and accounting for invoicing. See our API integrations for business.

4. Pilot and rollout

Two-week pilot with one route and one driver, feedback collection, fine tuning of routing weights to match real driving style. Then phased rollout across the fleet, on-site training and business-hours support. See our custom software development.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it a fit for small fleets of 2-5 vehicles?

Yes — the base package is tuned exactly for that profile. With 2-3 vehicles the dispatch board can run on a single screen at the shop counter. Routing pays back from day one, because manually balancing 30 parcels across three drivers is almost always sub-optimal. The system scales to 20+ vehicles without an architecture change.

Does it optimize routes automatically?

Yes. The engine solves the Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (VRPTW) using OR-Tools, factoring in vehicle capacity, parcel volume and weight, driver shift length and customer-preferred time slots. The dispatcher clicks one button in the morning to get a ready plan; new afternoon orders trigger an incremental recompute of the affected leg only.

Do customers get an SMS with ETA?

Yes, by default — SMS or Viber, configurable. The first message goes out when the driver leaves the warehouse with an expected arrival time, the second 15 minutes before arrival with a live tracking link. After drop-off the customer receives an email with the proof-of-delivery photo and the captured signature. Channels and copy are configurable per client.

How much does delivery management software cost?

A starter project for a fleet of up to 5 vehicles with dispatch board, driver mobile app and base integrations begins at €4,800 one-off. More complex rollouts with 15-30 vehicles, claims workflow, Speedy and Econt integration and ERP connectivity usually land between €11,000 and €28,000. No monthly license fees — you own the code on delivery.
