  • Tripod:Absolutely essential for sharp photos. A smartphone tripod can be found for $10-15. For cameras — $25-50.
  • Lighting:Two LED panels at $25-50 each are sufficient. Alternative — photograph near a large window with natural light.
  • Background:White photography backdrop (paper or fabric) for $10-20. For more stylish shots — textured backgrounds of wood, marble, or concrete.
  • Softbox or diffuser:Softens light and removes harsh shadows. Can also be made from a white sheet.

Techniques for Perfect Photos

  • 1.Always use a tripod — even slight hand tremor creates blur, especially in detail shots.
  • 2.Light from 45 degrees — place the main light source at 45 degrees to the product for dimensional photos.
  • 3.Shoot from multiple angles — minimum 5 photos per product: front, back, side, top, and detail.
  • 4.Show scale — add a comparison object or a photo of the product in use (lifestyle shot).
  • 5.Use a reflector — white paper or foam on the opposite side of the product to fill in shadows.

Editing and Web Optimization

  • White balance:Make sure the white background looks truly white, not yellowish or bluish.
  • Cropping:Center the product and leave equal space on all sides. Square format (1:1) is standard.
  • Size and format:Optimal web size: 1200x1200px. Format: WebP for best compression, JPEG as fallback.
  • Compression:Use TinyPNG or Squoosh to compress under 200KB without visible quality loss.
