Software Solutions for Logistics — TMS, WMS & Tracking in One Stack
Software solutions for logistics unify TMS (loads and routes), WMS (warehouse operations with scanning), fleet management (telematics and maintenance), route optimization, courier API integrations and a customer tracking portal into one system where dispatchers, drivers, warehouse staff and end clients see the same data in real time. We build the full stack as a custom product for freight forwarders, courier companies, 3PL operators and e-commerce brands with in-house fulfilment, killing Excel sheets, Viber status groups and "where is my shipment" phone calls.
Why generic software fails a logistics company
- ✓Routes that change by the hour — clients delay loading, drivers get stuck at borders, urgent freight comes in. A TMS must reassign the route, recompute ETA and notify the customer automatically — not via the dispatcher calling five people.
- ✓Warehouses with 3-8% error rates — without barcode scanning and a real WMS, the same SKU ends up in two bins and stock counts drift. Logistics software with handheld scanning brings errors below 0.5%.
- ✓Fleets without telematics — no live view of free tonnage, driver hours or upcoming service. That costs €400-€1,200 per vehicle per month in empty kilometres, fines and surprise repairs.
- ✓Courier APIs nobody wires up properly — Speedy, Econt, DHL, GLS and Sameday all use different waybill schemas. One centralized integration removes 70-80% of manual label work.
- ✓B2B clients expect a tracking portal — they want login, live shipment status, invoices and a self-service request form. Without it, your team becomes a call centre.
- ✓Financial reports 10 days late — without TMS/WMS-to-accounting integration, route or client margin only appears after month-end. By then unprofitable loads are already booked.
Who we build for
Fleets of 10-150 trucks running domestic or international transport. They get a TMS with CMR, ADR, tachograph, margin per route and integration with Frotcom, Webfleet, Wialon or Mapon — plus API integrations with accounting for automatic invoicing per load.
Companies handling stock for dozens of clients in parallel. We deliver multi-client WMS with barcode pick-pack, pallet-hour billing, cross-docking and EDI/REST sync to each client's ERP for live inventory visibility.
Online stores past 200 orders a day. We connect online store, warehouse and couriers into one flow — order to pick list, courier label and customer tracking email in under 90 seconds.
How we build logistics software
We do not start with a "universal TMS". We start with one dispatcher day and one warehouse day — observe real flows, count how many times the same number is keyed into different systems, then decide what is phase 1 and what waits.
1. Operational audit on site
2-3 days on the floor with dispatch, warehouse and one driver. Every tool, spreadsheet and Viber group gets mapped. Output: 30-60 processes ranked by pain and time saved. This defines the 8-12 week phase 1 scope.
2. TMS core — loads, drivers, routes
We build the TMS module covering the full life of a load: quote, confirmation, CMR/AWB, statuses, documents, margin. Route optimization (Google OR-Tools or HERE Maps API) for 5-30-stop runs. Telematics integration shows live position, speed and ETA to next stop.
3. WMS — scanning, locations, cycle counts
The warehouse module runs on Android handhelds (Zebra TC25/TC57) or regular phones with a camera. Pick-by-scan, put-away, transfer, cycle count — every move leaves an audit log. Multi-client warehouse with separate inventories, price lists and SLAs per client.
4. Integrations — couriers, ERP, accounting, GPS
Speedy, Econt, DHL, GLS, Sameday APIs for labels and tracking, EDI/REST to B2B client ERPs, accounting connectors (Microinvest, Plus Minus, ISI Soft), and telematics platforms. Every integration has retry, dead-letter queue and an admin panel for manual replay.
5. Customer tracking portal
B2B clients get login with live shipment status, history, invoices and self-service requests. B2C deliveries trigger SMS/email tracking links auto-refreshed from TMS statuses. Support load drops 40-55%.
Why Saitami
We build custom business software for logistics — no per-seat license, you own the code and the data. If you are a carrier first, see software for transport companies and fleet management system; if pure freight forwarding — freight forwarding software.
Frequently asked questions
How much do custom logistics software solutions cost?
Phase 1 (TMS core + basic WMS + tracking portal + 2-3 integrations) starts from €14,500 for a 5-15 truck carrier or single warehouse up to 1,500 m². Full enterprise stack with multi-warehouse WMS, telematics, route optimization, B2B portal and EDI to 5+ clients lands at €38,000-€85,000. No per-user license — you own the code.
Do you integrate with Speedy, Econt, DHL and GLS?
Yes. Ready connectors for Speedy REST, Econt SOAP/REST, DHL Parcel, GLS BG and Sameday cover label generation, pickup requests and tracking webhooks. Adding a new courier takes 3-7 days. For international freight we also integrate Trans.eu and Timocom load exchanges.
Does the software work offline in the warehouse or truck cab?
Yes. The WMS handheld app keeps a local SQLite cache — a warehouse worker can scan, pick and put-away during Wi-Fi outages; sync resumes when connection returns. The driver TMS app behaves the same: CMR, delivery confirmations, signatures and photos are saved locally and uploaded once 3G/4G is back.
How long does full rollout take?
Phase 1 for a 10-30 truck fleet or sub-3,000 m² warehouse runs 8-12 weeks kick-off to production: 2-3 weeks audit and data migration, 4-6 weeks build with two-week sprints and demos, then 2-3 weeks parallel running and training. Phase 2 modules (route optimization, B2B portal, BI) ship in 4-6 week increments after.
What happens to my existing Excel sheets and old software?
We migrate the history — loads, customers, drivers, SKUs, stock — into the new database. For existing TMS/WMS we write an ETL; for Excel we use controlled import with validation. The old software stays read-only for 6 months for reference and audit while the team adjusts.
Ready for a TMS + WMS that talks to your couriers?
Send a short description — fleet size or warehouse area, main couriers, current systems. Within 5 business days we come on site for an operational audit and deliver a phase 1 scope with fixed EUR pricing and a real timeline.
