Taking Over and Maintaining an Existing Website in Velingrad
We take over websites or online stores built by someone else: review, priority fixes, updates and monthly maintenance.
We take over websites and online stores built by another company or a previous developer, on WordPress, WooCommerce or custom code, for owners who no longer have anyone looking after their site: €100-€350 per month, based on the quotes we have sent, plus one-off fixes if the review shows they are needed. We start by reviewing the code, plugins, hosting and forms, then tell you what needs fixing first. The site stays on your domain and, if you want, on your hosting.
We work from Sofia with clients across Bulgaria: remotely, and on site when the project requires it.
Based on 98 of our quotes as of 14 August 2026
What you get
- Pre-engagement review
We check the code, plugins, hosting, speed, forms and access credentials, then send you what we find, prioritised.
- Priority-based fixes
We deal with broken forms and errors first, then speed and minor issues. Every fix is made after a backup.
- Updates and backups
We update the system and plugins after creating a restorable backup, and keep a copy every night on a separate server.
- Forms and tracking
We check that enquiries are arriving and that Google Analytics 4 is counting them; we add Google and Meta tags when they are missing.
- You keep control of access
The domain, hosting and administrator access remain in your name. We record everything and hand it back to you in an organised format.
How we work
- 1Describe your website
What it is built on, who built it, what is not working and what you want changed.
- 2Questions and price range
We ask about the hosting and access details and tell you where the monthly price will fall within {price_support}.
- 3Review
We make a backup, review the code, plugins, hosting, speed and forms, and send you a list of priorities.
- 4Written proposal
The one-off fixes, what the maintenance includes and the exact monthly price, in one document.
- 5Fixes and Monthly Maintenance
We fix the urgent issues, then the site moves to monthly maintenance: updates, backups, checks and minor changes.
Questions and answers
Taking Over and Maintaining an Existing Website in Velingrad: how much does it cost?
Taking Over and Maintaining an Existing Website in Velingrad: €100-€350 per month. The exact price is included in the written proposal.
Who owns the website?
Yours. The domain, hosting, code and access credentials remain in your name at all times. We receive administrator access so we can work, and return it to you in an organised format when you stop the maintenance.
Can you take over a website built by another company?
Yes. We need administrator access and access to the hosting and domain. If the previous company will not provide them, the domain is in your name and the registrar restores access to you. If the code cannot be maintained reasonably, we will say so after the review and propose a redesign instead of repairs.
Can the site be made faster without building a new one?
Often, yes-and that is the first thing we check. On one site, the homepage weighed almost six megabytes, four of them images, with more than one script from eight external services; that can be fixed without building a new site. A children's clothing store wanted exactly that: a faster site without a new design, because they liked what had already been made. In the review, we tell you what is slowing it down and how much it will cost to fix.
Will you change the design?
No, unless you ask us to. Taking over means keeping the site working, up to date and covered by someone responsible for it. If you only want a new look on the same content, that is a new theme or redesign, which we offer separately.
What access do you need?
Administrator access to the site, access to the hosting and access to the domain. For WordPress, access to the database too, if the hosting provider gives it separately. We record all access details in one place and hand them over to you, so you are no longer dependent on one person's memory.
How is this different from maintaining a website you built?
Here, we first review and fix the existing code because we do not know what is inside it, and this is a one-off task included in the quote. After the review and fixes, the maintenance is the same: updates, backups, checks and minor changes, {price_support}.
