Who owns the code, and can the system be installed on my server?
The code, data and access credentials are yours and are handed over with the project. The system runs on your server, on a server we rent for you in Europe, or on a computer at your company if your internet connection is unreliable. We tell you which option is best for you before preparing the quote.

Yes. How is it different from a ready-made program?
Custom software follows your process, connects to your software and is yours, with no per-user fee. A ready-made program can be up and running in days, but it makes you work its way and charges per user every month.
Why is one quote for the same thing nine to ten thousand, while another is three?
Because the scope is different: one process with several roles is not the same as a customer portal with a mobile app. That is why we prepare a demo before the quote and list the modules by name, so you can compare like with like. The range based on our quotes is published on this page.
Can you migrate data from Excel or from our old software?
Yes, from a file or through an API, with duplicate records cleaned up. The old software keeps running until the switchover. What we migrate and how we verify it is specified in the quote.
How much does support cost, and what happens if we stop working with you?
Support is a separate monthly line in the quote and is optional. If you stop, the system, code and data remain yours and you can continue with another team; instructions for running the system elsewhere are part of the handover.
Will it still run quickly years from now, when the amount of data has grown?
Our systems run on Next.js or .NET with PostgreSQL, not on WordPress and ready-made plugins, and they are load-tested. OMEGA LIGHT's catalogue searches thousands of models using dozens of parameters, while Pelikan DTM processes revisions of thousands of items without slowing down.
